This unique system is specifically designed for those hunters who must do a lot of walking. Many times while hunting we must walk great distances and upon our arrival we are covered with sweat. This is a dangerous situation because we now become cold and it is very difficult to raise our body temperature. The answer is the Sheepskin Hunters Cloak made from the same high quality materials as our Jacket and Pants Set. This original design allows freedom of movement in complete warmth without overheating.
This cloak has a suspension system that allows it to be carried like a backpack and quickly bring over the shoulders when needed. The design also allows you to raise your rifle quickly and easily while keeping the gun firmly at your shoulder. This avoids extra material that would change the focal length between the shoulder and the scope. There is also a special pocket system, the muffle system, that allows you to fold the cloak over you in the front while keeping your rifle warm, no fogging of the optics, and still being ready for the quick shot without the bulk and inconvenience of sleeves.
When sitting and at other times when a quick response is not needed this system uses the front flap button system developed by Harald Dittrich. This cloak also incorporates a unique side zipper system that allows you to open two side slits, from the top or bottom, from the inside of the cloak. This feature allows you to use your rifle while walking or sitting with the cloak closed up to the throat. The cloak has the same high collar as the Jacket. You can also use the snug fit shoulder features of this system while sitting by closing the front flap button system up to mid thigh and using the pocket muffle system to close the top of the cloak. This allows you quick access and movement, with the rifle on the knees, without having to open zippers or buttons.
Important Information: Do not carry a weapon with the safety off under this cloak. As with all new equipment a degree of practice is necessary for safe use. Please practice the use of this cloak with an unloaded weapon before attempting to take it into the field.
